When I was brought my first Ford Fiesta I knew that paying attention to security features was crucial. Among these, the steering wheel lock stood out as essential.
Choosing the right one for my Fiesta was a task, considering it’s one of the UK’s most stolen cars, largely due to its popularity. I now own a Fiesta ST-Line Eco Boost and have personally tested almost all the top steering wheel locks on the market testing their security, flexibility, and suitability for everyday use.
I tested six different steering wheel locks to determine which ones were the best for me. I also consulted an industry expert from Halfords who confirmed there were really only two steering wheel locks he would recommend to people.
The best and most secure is the Disklok (small) and the runner up and my wife’s daily is the Stoplock Pro not the Elite thats for larger cars.

Stoplock Pro Steering Wheel Lock
In my opinion, the Stoplock stands out as the best car lock for everyday use. It’s incredibly user-friendly, easy to fit and remove, and conveniently storable in either the front or back footwell. Remarkably, it’s practical even when the car is full, with three kids and two adults.
However, there’s a catch with its security. While it’s challenging to break free once fastened with a key, it doesn’t match up to my favorite, the Disklok. The Disklok boasts a self-locking feature that renders it virtually impossible for anyone to break into the car.
